Enhanced features
SteamHarness documentation is split into two parts:
- Open-source docs: Core, CLI, Server, Studio, the Server Web console, and the built-in projects. Open-source pages link directly to GitHub for editing.
- Enhanced docs: System AI, Store, the management console, and Enhanced Studio. These pages only describe public capabilities and workflows.

What Enhanced adds over open source
Enhanced provides a shared AI and operations layer on top of the open-source core:
| Capability | Open source | Enhanced |
|---|---|---|
| System-level AI credentials | None; each project configures its own LLM provider | Shared models, credentials, and invocation entry point |
| Model catalogue | Decided by the project or provider | Managed centrally in the console |
| Personal default model | Project configuration | Personal default → group default → project default |
| Provider preference | Not applicable | Users can order available groups |
| Subscriptions and balance | Handled per project | Plans, balance, usage, and orders |
| Management entry point | None | Models, groups, bindings, subscriptions, and Store review |
See What Enhanced adds: System AI configuration for the full comparison.
System AI
A shared model capability for users: personal defaults, provider preference, subscriptions/balance, usage, and orders.
Store
The public catalogue of project versions, with browsing, downloads, publishing, and review.
Management console and Enhanced Studio
- Management console: model catalogue, groups, user bindings, subscriptions/refunds, and Store review.
- Enhanced Studio: Store entry and System AI connection.
